On Tuesday afternoon, the Spring Hill College women's tennis team came up on the short end of a 5-4 decision at the University of Mobile.
 
Spring Hill was down 2-1 after the doubles matches, falling on the No. 1 and No. 3 courts, but stormed back in singles play with wins on the Nos. 4, 5 and 6 courts to tie the match at 4-4 with the No. 3 court still in doubt.  Freshman McCall Hedrick from Louisville, Ky., took the first set 6-3, but the Rams' Rachel Hartley rallied to win the final two sets 6-0 and 6-1 to give Mobile the 5-4 victory.
 
The Spring Hill women (1-1, 1-1 GCAC) will next host conference foe Belhaven College (4-4, 1-2 GCAC) at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center.
