The Spring Hill College women's tennis team lost to Shorter College by the score of 8-1 at the University of Mobile's "Bash at the Beach" in Gulf Shores on Monday afternoon.

The Lady Badgers dropped two of the doubles matches as Allison Symulevich and Catherine Thames fell to Bondarenko and Ratsa with an 8-1 decision on the No. 1 court while Abbey Angelle and Paige Malone slipped versus Montreat and Robert 8-5 in the No. 2 match.  SHC teammates Lynne Fritscher and Alex Tovar then salvaged a win in doubles on No. 3 with an 8-3 decision over Luconi and Brigneti.

The Lady Badgers (3-2) continued to struggle in singles play as Shorter College swept all six courts.
