The Spring Hill College men's golf team finished in second place at the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Tournament at Mobile's Azalea City Golf Course on Tuesday.
Spring Hill carded a final-round 305 to finish at 903 while the University of Mobile fired a combined 898 (300, 303, 295) to win the 2008-09 conference title despite trailing SHC by five shots following Monday's opening two rounds.
William Carey University finished third with a 908 total.
In individual scoring, Mobile's Cameron Smith took the Individual Championship with a 1-under 215 and William Carey's Matt Hungerman shot a par 216 for the runner-up position. Junior Will Loweth paced the Badgers with a score of 9-over, 225. Sophomores Eddie Smith and Javier Portal each finished with 2-day scores of 226 for the Badgers.
