Spring Hill College Women's Basketball today announced the signing of Alexis McPhail as Ray Fron's first official signee as the Lady Badgers' head coach.

McPhail, a 6'0" center and power forward, comes to The Hill from Frankfort Community High School in West Frankfort, Ill., where she prepped under Coach Matt Hampleman.  A multi-sport star and Team MVP, she won 15 varsity letters in four sports during her career at FCHS.

In the 2008-09 season, McPhail averaged 12.0 points per game and shot 48% from both the field and the 3-point line.  Defensively, she pulled in 9.5 rebounds per contest and blocked 3.1 shots per game.  She was selected as an All Conference performer, 3rd team All State, and invited to play in the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association's (IBCA) All Star Game.

McPhail also played volleyball in high school and won All Conference honors in Cross Country and Track & Field.  She was a state qualifier in Track & Field as a junior, was the Cross Country team's MVP award as a freshman, and won her volleyball team's Most Academic Award as a senior.

She plans to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy.
