Spring Hill College had three fielders named to the 2009 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Gold Glove team by the conference coaches at the GCAC Tournament on Thursday morning.  Centerfielder Justin Harrison, 3rd baseman Brad Holstein and catcher Bill Saliski were each recognized for their skills with the leather.

Harrison, a junior from Mobile's W.P. Davidson High School, committed just one error with 98 putouts and five assists over 48 games played this season to tally a .990 fielding percentage.

Holstein, a sophomore from New Orleans, La., actually began the year at 1st base, but moved to 3rd base a few weeks into the season and quickly staked his claim to the "hot corner" with a .953 fielding percentage.

Senior Bill Saliski from Montgomery, Ala., committed just two errors and allowed only two passed balls in 201 fielding chances for a .990 fielding percentage.  He also cut down 14 base runners eliminating 25% of the attempted stolen bases against him and picked off two runners at first base.
