Kimarie Bock, a 6'2" center from Dunedin, Fla., has announced plans to transfer from the University of West Florida to Spring Hill College at the end of the spring semester.
Bock played in eight games for the Lady Argos as a sophomore in 2008-09 and scored a total of 13 points with five rebounds. Ironically, she had her season highs of seven points and two rebounds in a 72-60 home victory over the Lady Badgers on November 25, 2008. As a freshman, she saw action in 10 games and scored eight points with nine rebounds.
Selected as one of the top 30 centers in the nation by HoopGurlz and Scout.com in 2007, Bock prepped at Dunedin High School where she served as a team co-captain for three years. She appeared on the Southeastern Hoops Report Top 100 list of 2007 recruits. Bock averaged 16.8 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocks per game and was chosen All-Conference as a senior.
SHC Head Coach Ray Fron said, "Kimarie (KB) will give Spring Hill something we have lacked in the past - height. She also gives us a very good post presence. KB has a very soft shooting touch around the basket and will fit into our system nicely."
The daughter of Jay and Lisa Bock, Kimarie is a member of the National Honor Society.
