Caitlin Dorton Signs Her Letter of Intent for the Lady Badgers
Women's Basketball - Thu, May. 14, 2009
Caitlin Dorton, a forward/center from Versailles, Ky., signed a Letter of Intent to play women's basketball at Spring Hill College on Thursday afternoon.

Dorton played for Coach Jason Seamands at Lexington Christian Academy where she was a 4-year letter-winner in varsity basketball and a 3-year letter-winner in varsity tennis.  She won her team's "Most Improved Player" and "Best Attitude" awards as a freshman and also took home the "Team Spirit" Award as a junior.  Away from the court, Dorton appeared on the LCA Academic Honor Roll all four years of her prep career.

SHC Head Coach Ray Fron said, "We are pleased to have Caitlin join our women's basketball team.  She comes from a topnotch high school program.  Caitlin is an excellent student and an extremely hard worker on the court.  She will provide us with depth at the forward position."

This past season Dorton shot just under 60% from the field and started every game at center for a team that saw three of her teammates sign with NCAA Division 1 teams.
