The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that Spring Hill College's Michael Bouché, Nick Clapper and Justin Harrison have been named 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes in baseball.
Bouché, a senior pitcher from Chalmette, La., appeared for the second consecutive year while majoring in Finance/Economics. He finished this year with a 5-1 record with one save and two complete games.

Clapper, a junior left-handed pitcher from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School, majors in Pre-Med. He pitched in 14 games for the Badgers and struck out 37 batters on his way to a 4-8 record in 2009.

All-GCAC centerfielder Justin Harrison of Mobile's W.P. Davidson High School majors in Nursing and led the Badgers with 16 hit-by-pitched-balls on his way to setting a new SHC career mark with 33 HBP in just three years. The junior hit .327 on the year with 25 RBI while stealing a team-high 24 bases.
This year 238 baseball players were named 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Student-athletes must be nominated by their head coach, have achieved junior academic status and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
