Alexis Davis, a 6'0" center/forward from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., has transferred to Spring Hill College to play women's basketball under Head Coach Ray Fron.
Originally from Irving, Texas, Davis prepped at The Highlands High School under Coach John Trevino.  She enters SHC as a sophomore.
In the 2007-08 season, she led her team to a 20-10 record and finished in the Bi-District Finals.  She received numerous awards playing as a high school forward including recognition as 1st Team All-State by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) and the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS).  TABC and TAPPS also awarded her Academic All-State status.
As The Highlands' Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Year, Davis was also named 1st Team 3-3A All-District.
"I am excited to have a person of such high quality abilities, both academic and athletic, join our program," said Fron.  "Alexis will provide us with great depth at the post and I am confident she will fit into our system nicely."
