Keisha Forbes Returns to SHC as an Assistant
Women's Basketball - Mon, Aug. 3, 2009
On Monday, Spring Hill College Head Women's Basketball Coach Ray Fron announced the addition of Karmeshia Easley and Keisha Forbes to his assistant coaching staff.
Easley, a 2008 graduate of the University of West Florida, played basketball one season at Spring Hill College under former head coach Terry Fowler before transferring to UWF in 2005.  Since graduation, Easley played for the Gulf Coast (Mobile) Tropics of the Women's Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL).
"I'm glad to have Karmeshia (left) with the program," said Fron.  "Her playing experience in college and beyond will prove to be a valuable asset to our players."  Easley will be working primarily with the guards and will assist with daily on-the-floor coaching duties.  She will also help in recruiting and other assigned duties.
Forbes played four seasons at SHC and completed her career as the school's 12th leading all-time scorer with 1,217 points.  She served as a team captain in both her junior and senior seasons.
"We're excited to have such a hardworking, quality person stay with the program," said Fron.  "Keisha has definitely proved herself in her career at SHC."  Along with other duties, Forbes will work primarily with the Badgers' post players.
