The Spring Hill College men's soccer team lost to No. 17 Northwood University (Fla.) on Sunday evening by the score of 4-1 at Library Field.
Northwood opened the scoring in the 13th minute of the first period when SHC keeper Dan Criscione of St. Louis, Mo., blocked a shot attempt only to have the rebound end up at the feet of the Seahawk's Alvaro Romo who scored past a prone Criscione.
In the 39th minute, Northwood added another goal with a shot off an indirect kick by Baldvin Olafsson that sailed into the top of goal following a foul by the Badgers' Tyler King from Biloxi, Miss.
The Badgers, however, answered the bell coming out of the locker room at the half when in the 50th minute Gable Fortune of St. Louis cleaned up a goal with an assist from Devon Arnold from Mobile's W.P. Davidson High that cut the bulge to 2-1 in favor of the visitors.
Victor Linstrom would tack on a third Seahawk goal in the 68th minute and Olafsson would ice the game in the 87th minute with a goal off a corner kick from Tom Stringer.
Criscione made four saves versus eight shot attempts before yielding the goal to Tommy Campbell of St. Louis in the second half. Campbell made two saves versus seven shots. Andy Robertson made eight saves against 13 Badger shots for Northwood (2-0-1).
