The Spring Hill College women's cross-country team finished 5th of six teams at the Azalea City Classic in Mobile on Saturday morning.
As a team, the top five Lady Badgers finishers clocked a total time of 118:24.6 over the 5000-meter course and scored a total of 131 points.
Sophomore Kate Imwalle from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School paced the Badgers with an 11th place finish out of 46 runners and a total time of 20.59.8.
Other competitors for SHC were senior Kayla Fox (22nd) from Dothan, Ala., at 23:34.9, junior Lynne Fritscher (31st) from Covington, La., at 24:17.8, freshman Kiearstan Carter (33rd) from Mobile's Murphy High at 24.27.6, junior Ceci Venker (37th) from St. Louis, Mo., at 25:06.5, sophomore Emily Stewart (40th) from Mt. Juliet, Tenn., at 27:22.1, sophomore Ashley Derenbecker (44th) from Bay St. Louis, Miss., at 29:16.7, Celia Piccini (45th) from Grand Bay, Ala., at 29:54.9 and Julie Sellers (46th) from Layfayette, La. at 30:14.1.
SHC next runs at the University of West Florida Stampede in Pensacola, Fla., on Saturday, October 3.
