The Spring Hill College men's cross-country team ran to a 4th place finish at the Azalea City Classic on Saturday morning in Mobile, but finished atop the NAIA competitors in the event.
As a team, the Badgers' top five runners clocked a total time of 118:24.6 over the 5-kilometer course and tallied a total of 105 points.
Senior Austin Fox of Dothan, Ala., paced the Badgers with a 17th place finish out of 59 runners and a total time of 18.04.4.
Other competitors for SHC were sophomore Will Kirkikis (18th) from Kenner, La. at 18:07.2, freshman Thomas Kinsey (22nd) from Fairhope High at 18:51.7, senior Mark Kirkikis (28th) from Kenner at 19:45.8, junior Sean Christie (29th) from New Orleans, La., at 19:50.9, freshman Ben Pace (33rd) from Dallas, Texas, at 20:29.2, freshman Garrett Schumacher (35th) from Spanish Fort High at 20:44.7, sophomore Brian Otero (36th) from Miami, Fla., at 20:51.0, sophomore Christian Boyer (37th) from McGill-Toolen at 20:58.4, freshman Matthew Mayeaux (43rd) from Long Beach, Miss., at 21:51.7, and freshman Bryan Dulion (48th) from Pensacola, Fla., at 23:20.0.
SHC next runs at the University of West Florida Stampede in Pensacola, Fla., on Saturday, October 3.
