The Spring Hill College women's soccer team lost a 1-0 conference decision at the University of Mobile on Tuesday evening.
The Rams' Brianna Simmons scored the lone goal of the match in the 22nd minute off a 30-yard shot that just crept past the diving hands of SHC keeper Emma Pitchford.
Pitchford made four saves versus eight Mobile shot-attempts and Mobile's Anna Maddox made three saves against nine SHC shot-attempts.
Mobile attempted three corner kicks on the evening while limiting the Badgers to just one corner play.
The Lady Badgers suffered their sixth shutout loss of the season.
Spring Hill (7-8-1, 0-3-1 GCAC) will next play at No. 4 seeded LSU-Shreveport in the 2009 GCAC Tournament's "Play-In" as the 5th seed at a date and time yet to be determined. Mobile (7-7-1, 2-1 GCAC) will wrap up their regular season on Saturday by hosting William Carey (13-1-1, 2-0 GCAC) at 7 p.m.
