The Spring Hill College volleyball team stormed to a 3-0 (25-3, 25-9, 25-15) non-conference victory over Concordia College-Selma on Thursday night at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
 
SHC ran out to a 10-0 lead in the first set and cruised to a 25-3 final score.  In the second set, the Badgers built a 6-0 advantage and held on for a healthy 25-9 victory.  The night's final set saw the Hornets (0-6) holding a 7-6 advantage early in the set before the Lady Badgers took off on a 11-1 run that built a 17-8 lead that ended in a 25-15 win for SHC.
 
Offensively, junior Cassandra Marchand of Grand Bay, Ala., led the Badgers with nine kills and sophomore Sally Reese of Murfreesboro, Tenn., handed out 20 assists and six service aces.  Senior Melissa Williams of Fairhope, Ala., pulled in seven digs and nine receptions.
 
Janae Walker had three kills for the Hornets while her sister Jasmine Walker added six digs with 10 receptions.
 
Spring Hill College (7-13, 3-6 GCAC) next travels to Jackson, Miss., to play Belhaven College (15-17, 4-4 GCAC) at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
