The Spring Hill College men's soccer team lost its final conference match of the season at the University of Mobile on Thursday evening by a 4-0 score.
The Rams (6-9, 2-2 GCAC) led 2-0 at the intermission following goals by Jack St. Hilaire in the 5th minute and Gerardo Flores in the 23rd minute of the match.
Mobile continued to control the action in the second period with goals by Henrique Bertoli in the 72nd minute and Eoin Dolan in the 75th minute of the contest.
Spring Hill's junior keeper Cory Bronenkamp of St. Louis, Mo., made three saves versus 17 Mobile shot-attempts while Jason Williams did not have a save against just two Badger shot-attempts.
With their ninth shutout loss of the season, the 4th seeded Badgers fall into the GCAC Tournament's "Play-In" Round on Wednesday versus the 5th seeded LSU-Shreveport Pilots (4-6-1, 0-3 GCAC) while 3rd seed Mobile move directly into the semifinal round versus 2nd seed Belhaven College.
Spring Hill (4-13, 1-3 GCAC) will wrap up the 2009 regular season on Saturday at Georgia Southwestern State University (2-15) in Americus, Ga., at 3:30 p.m.
