The Spring Hill College Department of Athletics has named Christian Boyer and Kimarie Bock as its Athletes of the Week for their superb performances during the week of November 9-15, 2009.

A sophomore from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School, Boyer qualified for his first NAIA National Championship appearance with an 8-kilometer time of 29:50.11 at the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Men's Cross Country Championships in Clinton, Miss. The 2009 All-Conference runner will compete at the NAIA Championship this Saturday in Vancouver, Wash.

The starting center for the Lady Badgers basketball team, Bock averaged 14 points per game in the first three games of the 2009-10 season. She also pulled down 10 rebounds, blocked four shots and handed out two assists. The Dunedin, Fla., native is playing over 26 minutes per contest and shooting 38.1% (16-42) in the early going.
