Davenport University slashed past the Spring Hill College Lady Badgers 96-42 at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Friday evening in Day One of the SHC Thanksgiving Classic.
 
Davenport built a 48-24 lead at halftime and never looked back.
 
For the Badgers, junior center Kimarie Bock of Dunedin, Fla., scored 11 points for the team-high and senior guard Robynetta Hargrave of Metairie, La., added nine rebounds.
 
Davenport (5-1) was led by Emily Nielson with 13 points while Julie Janish had six rebounds for the Panthers.
 
The Lady Badgers made 21.7% (13-60) of their shots from the field and struggled from the outside by going 1-18 (5.6%) from 3-point range.
 
Davenport, on the other hand, shot 60.9% (42-69) from the field and completed seven of their 24 3-point attempts (29.2%).
 
Spring Hill (0-5) will host Aquinas College 6-1 on Saturday at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center beginning at 3 p.m.  The University of Mobile (7-1) and Davenport play at 1 p.m.
 
Earlier in the day on Friday, Mobile defeated Aquinas 80-56.
