Aquinas College downed the Spring Hill College Lady Badgers 86-66 at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Saturday afternoon in the final match of the SHC Thanksgiving Classic.
Aquinas held a 48-25 lead at halftime and quickly built out a 26-point advantage in the second half.
For the Badgers, junior center Kimarie Bock of Dunedin, Fla., scored 20 points for the game-high and freshman guard Kristin Rogers of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., added 12 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore guard Kiara Parker, also from Ft. Walton Beach, contributed 11 points to the Lady Badger cause.
Aquinas (6-1) was led by Joslyn Narber with 20 points while Jillian Bowman had 16 points and six rebounds for the Saints.
The Lady Badgers made 43.9% (25-57) of their shots from the field and were 4-10 (40%) from 3-point range. SHC turned the ball over 24 times as Aquinas took away 12 steals.
Aquinas shot 55.7% (34-61) from the field and completed eight of 18 3-point attempts (44.4%). The Saints committed 19 turnovers in the face of seven SHC steals.
Spring Hill College (0-6) will next host Concordia College-Selma on Friday at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center beginning at 5 p.m.
