Badgers and Rams face off before the match on Tuesday
On Tuesday afternoon, the Spring Hill College women's tennis team upset 19th rated University of Mobile by a score of 5-4 at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center.
SHC (1-1, 1-1 GCAC) led 2-1 after the doubles matches with wins on Courts No. 1 and 2 and then split the singles matches 3-3 to hang on for the 5-4 win. In singles, the Rams took Courts Nos. 1, 2 & 3, but the Badgers took Nos. 4, 5 & 6.
Earlier on Tuesday, the SHC ladies team learned it had received 46 votes for the NAIA Top 25, placing them in a tie for 27th if the poll were carried out that far.
SHC plays LSU-Shreveport (0-1, 0-1 GCAC) at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center on Thursday at 1 p.m.
