Thomas University completed a 3-game series sweep of the Spring Hill College Badgers by taking both ends of a Saturday doubleheader by the scores of 6-4 and 5-2 at Stan Galle Field.
In the first game, a 2-run homer by Thomas' Adam Duncan in the 1st inning and a 3-run homer in the 3rd by Rick Howroyd proved to be the big shots of the game.
SHC was led by Ryan Cummings, Bobby Voss and Fred Rossi with two hits each. On the mound Joe Baumgartner (0-1) took the loss after going five innings and allowing four hits with two walks and five strikeouts.
Jeremy Jones (1-1) was the winner with a complete-game victory, surrendering 10 hits, three walks and two strikeouts.
The second game saw Randy Adams and Tyler Davis both hit homeruns for the Night Hawks (10-5). Brandon Owens was the winner for Thomas in the nightcap going six innings with 10 hits three walks and six strikeouts.
Spring Hill (10-5) will look to rebound with a doubleheader versus Selma University at Stan Galle Field on Tuesday beginning at 5 p.m.
