The Spring Hill College women's golf team closed the 2010 spring season with a 10th place finish out of 11 teams at the "Bash at the Beach" hosted by Embry-Riddle University at the Daytona Beach Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday.
The Badgers shot a 2-day combined 666 (338, 328, +98) across the par-71, 5937-yard course.
Individually, junior Victoria Gonzalez of Miami, Fla., led Spring Hill with a final score of 158 (81, 77, +16) and finished tied for 22nd position out of 61 golfers.
Sophomore AnnMarie Coan of St. Louis, Mo., closed with a +18 score (79, 81, 160) for 28th position while Shea Bowers, a senior from Mobile's Murphy High School, carded a 171 (87, 84, +29) for a 47th place finish.  Senior Kim Penix of Pelham, Ala., wrapped up the event with a 177 (91, 86, +35) for 49th place.
Junior Jasmine Bowers, the younger sister of Shea, recorded a 193 (98, 95, +51) for 55th place.
The SHC ladies next tee off at the NAIA Women's Unaffiliated Play-In Round on April 26-27 in Columbus, Ga.
