On Thursday evening, a 20th-ranked William Carey University squad stopped the 25th ranked Spring Hill College women's tennis team by a score of 6-3 in a conference match.
 
Carey (14-4, 11-2 GCAC) won two doubles matches at courts Nos. 1 and 2, but senior Allison Symulevich and junior Alex Tovar salvaged the No. 3 doubles match by a score of 8-4.
 
In singles play, Symulevich won again on No. 4 in 6-1, 6-0 and junior Gina Pambianchi was victorious on No. 6 by 6-4, 6-0.
 
SHC (10-6, 8-5 GCAC) will host Loyola University (3-8, 3-6 GCAC) at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center on Saturday at 2 p.m. in their final regular season match of the 2010 season.
