Spring Hill College Men's Basketball Head Coach Robert Thompson today announced that Charles Gordon of Vestavia High School in Vestavia, Ala., has signed to play for the Badgers.
Gordon, a 6'4" guard/small forward, averaged 8.6 points and 8.2 rebounds per game with a .650 field goal percentage during his senior season for the Rebels.
As a junior, Gordon was a member of the 2009 Class 6-A State All Tournament Team, the Class 6-A Northeast Region All Tournament Team, the Over the Mountain Journal Team and the Birmingham News Hoover/South Team. Between his junior and senior seasons, Gordon also was a member of the Alabama Summer 2009 North Basketball Team.
In 2010, Gordon was a repeat member of both the Over the Mountain Journal Team and the Birmingham News Hoover/South Team while serving as a Vestavia Team Captain. He completed his senior year as a 2010 selection to the 6-A Area 12 Team and the Sneaky Pete's Tournament's Most Valuable Player.
"Charles is an incredible student-athlete that will have a positive impact on our program," said Thompson. "He comes from a strong program and we feel fortunate that he is joining the Badger family."
