The Spring Hill College men's golf team will return to the NAIA National Championships for the first time since 2005 following its victory at the NAIA Unaffiliated Play-In Round in Georgia on Tuesday.

The Badgers shot a combined team score of 889 (299, 296, 294) to win the 2-day tournament by six strokes over 2nd place and 10th-ranked Lee University (Tenn.) and the host 3rd place Thomas University (Ga.). 

SHC senior Will Loweth of Houston, Texas, won the individual crown in a sudden death playoff hole following a 3-way tie at the end of regulation play.

The Badgers will play at the NAIA Men's Golf National Championships on May 18-21 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.
