The Spring Hill College softball team had four of its player named to the 2010 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) All-Conference team as announced by the league's head coaches.
Senior right fielder Ersy Pacheco (left) from Venezuela hit .325 on the year and scored 23 runs with five doubles, a triple, six homeruns and 29 RBI. In the field, she made 35 putouts and recorded eight assists.
Junior pitcher Sam Brooks (right) of Belle Chasse, La., finished the season with a 1.63 ERA, 24 complete-games and three shutouts. She pitched a team-leading 193.2 innings with 98 strikeouts. At the plate, Brooks hit .262 with six doubles and two triples. She fielded her position in the field at a .978 percentage and made 12 putouts with 76 assists and just two errors.
Junior catcher Brooke Turlich (left) of Belle Chasse hit .328 with four doubles and two homeruns. She also drove in 25 runs while swiping 18 of 19 stolen base attempts. Behind the plate, Turlich turned in a .976 fielding percentage with just three errors and three passed balls while handing out 13 assists on the year.
Sophomore shortstop Monica Zeringue (right) from Destrehan, La., collected her second All-GCAC award in as many years after turning in a record-breaking season at Spring Hill. She started all 50 games played by the Badgers in 2010 and hit for a .434 average with a .657 slugging percentage. She scored 37 runs while driving in 32 RBI off 17 doubles, a triple and six homeruns. Zeringue reached base via a base-on-balls 19 times and struck out just eight times in 166 at-bats. She also stole nine out of 11 stolen base attempts. In the field, Zeringue made 93 putouts with 92 assists and turned in three double plays.
