The Spring Hill College softball team had three players named to the 2010 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) All-Tournament team as chosen by the league's head coaches.
Senior centerfielder Lindsey Taylor (left) of Hurley, Miss., was 3-for-6 at the plate with four runs scored, a double and an RBI. In the field, she made five putouts including a spectacular diving catch to take away a base hit versus Belhaven University on Thursday afternoon.
Junior pitcher Sam Brooks (right) of Belle Chase, La., pitched consecutive complete games versus 5th-ranked Belhaven and 20th-ranked Mobile, going 13 innings and allowing just four earned runs with six strikeouts and two walks. On offense, she connected for a double versus Belhaven.
Sophomore shortstop Monica Zeringue (left) of Destrehan, La., led off the tournament with an inside-the-park homerun versus Dillard on her way to a .400 average for the weekend with three RBI and two runs scored. In the field, she added three putouts and four assists.
