Spring Hill College senior women's tennis player Allison Symulevich was selected as a 3rd team member of the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® At-Large Team as announced by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) on Thursday.
Having graduated from SHC this spring with a 4.0 GPA in Political Science & Hispanic Studies, Symulevich was recognized by the national organization of sports information directors for her outstanding academic and athletic achievements over her 4-year career with the Badgers.
The award recognizes athletes holding a career GPA of 3.3 or higher while at the same time making significant on-court contributions to their team.
In 2010, Symulevich also was chosen All-Conference at the No. 4 Singles position following a year in which she collected a 15-1 record in singles play. Symulevich, a native of Tampa, Fla., was the lone senior on the SHC women's tennis roster this season and a 3-time GCAC Academic Honor Roll member and a 2-time Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete.
