CLINTON, Miss. - The Spring Hill College men's soccer team lost a nonconference match at Mississippi College 4-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Choctaws (1-1) built out a 4-0 halftime lead following two goals by David Balyeat of Mesquite, Texas, in the 9th and 43rd minutes and one goal apiece by Drew Garner of Gulfport, Miss., in the 18th minute and Barry Prather of Clinton, Miss., in the 36th minute.
Balyeat, Garner and Julio Cesar Espinal each added assists for Miss. College.
MC goalkeepers Andrew Dailey from Tupelo, Miss., and Robert Jackson of Ridgeland, Miss., had three saves against six Badger shots for the shutout.
SHC keeper senior Cory Bronenkamp of St, Louis, Mo., made six saves against 21 Choctaw shots in the loss.
The Badgers (1-3) will host the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University (1-1-1) from South Carolina at Library Field at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
