MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Spring Hill College men's soccer team snapped a 4-game winless streak with a 2-0 victory at Huntingdon College on Friday afternoon.
 
The Badgers scored in the 8th minute with a goal by Gable Fortune of St. Louis, Mo., off an assist by Andres Garcia of Navarre, Fla.
 
Garcia then added an unassisted goal for himself in the 86th minute to ice the match away.
 
The home-standing Hawks (1-5-1) took nine total shots, but SHC goalkeeper Cory Bronenkamp picked up his second shutout of the season and tallied two saves.
 
Keeper Matt Russell of Huntingdon made three saves against 12 Badger shots.
 
Each took two corner kicks and committed eight fouls with no cards issued.
 
The Badgers (2-5-1) will next visit Thomas University (4-1-3) in Thomasville, Ga., for a non-conference match at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
