Spring Hill College volleyball swept the Fisk University Bulldogs by a 3-0 final by the scores of 25-6, 25-3, 25-5 on Saturday morning.
A 6-0 run by the Badgers opened the first set and that margin quickly grew to 19-5.
The second set saw the Badgers build a 20-1 advantage following a 17-point service run by SHC senior Emily Williams of Mobile's Murphy High School.
Set No. 3 saw Williams open with an 11-point service run as the Badgers coasted to 20-2 lead.
Spring Hill was led by Jamie Hall of Mobile's Faith Academy with six kills Taryn Nash from Independence, Mo., with 17 assists, and Williams collected seven service aces and five receptions. Susan Gilliland from Baker High School in Mobile had 15 digs.
In total, the Badgers tallied 26 kills, for a .444 attack percentage with 23 assists, 24 service aces, 29 digs and 14 receptions.
Jazmine Green chalked up the Bulldogs (0-5) lone kill in the match and also collected five digs and 11 receptions. SHC limited Fisk to a -0.279 attack percentage, 13 digs and 40 receptions.
Spring Hill (8-2) will next host a nonconference match with Concordia College-Selma on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
