THOMASVILLE, Ga. - The Spring Hill College women's soccer team lost at the Thomas University Night Hawks by a 3-2 score on Thursday afternoon.
The Badgers broke into the scoring column first with a goal by junior Abby Galen of St. Louis, Mo., off an assist by sophomore Sarah Uptmor of Cape Girardeau, Mo., but the Night Hawks scored twice before the intermission to make the score 2-1 at halftime.
An early second half goal by the Night Hawks (5-6) made the score 3-1, but then Galen scored again with an assist by senior forward Kasey Pruett of Flower Mound, Texas, to cut it to a 3-2 Thomas advantage.
Cassandra Amore of Pace, Fla., took the loss in goal handling the first 60 minutes of play before senior Emma Pitchford of Ridgeland, Miss., closed out the final 30 minutes of play.
Spring Hill (3-6) will next host Shorter University (2-5) on Sunday at Library Field beginning at 3 p.m.
