CLINTON, Miss. - The Spring Hill College men's cross country team finished 6th of 10 teams at the Watson Ford Invitational hosted by Mississippi College at Choctaw Trails on Friday evening.
As a team, the Badgers scored 159 points and averaged 30:18.78 over the 8-kilometer course and finished in a total team time of 2:31:33.87 - virtually identical times as at their last meet two weeks ago.
Junior Will Kirkikis of Kenner, La., was the top SHC finisher with a 17th place finish out of 74 runners in a time of 28:13.14, marking the 25th best time in SHC Men's program history over the 8k distance.
Sophomore Thomas Kinsey of Fairhope, Ala., scored for the Badgers with a 31st place finish in a time of 29:35.11.
Freshman Brennan Gaffney of St. Louis, Mo., took 10 seconds off his last time and finished in 33rd position in 29:56.00.
Junior Christian Boyer of Mobile's McGill-Toolen finished in 45th place at 31:17.53 shaving nearly 30 seconds off his results from two weeks prior. Freshman Fritz Boudreaux of Pensacola, Fla., was 56th in a time of 32:32.09 to closeout the SHC scoring.
The Badgers next run on Saturday, October 16, at the Coach O Invitational hosted by Troy University in Troy, Ala., at 9:30 a.m.
