NORCROSS, Ga. -Spring Hill College cross country runner Kate Imwalle from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School was named the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Female Runner of the Week for October 4-10, 2010, marking the third week out of the last four that she has won the award.
Imwalle finished in 4th place out of 71 runners in a time of 24:25.31 at the Watson Ford Invitational hosted by Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss. on Friday. Her time was the best SHC women's 6-kilometer time in program history and broke the old mark of 24:29.4 established by Amy Lyon at the same course and event exactly five years before.
The Badgers will next travel to Troy, Ala., on Saturday to run in the Coach O Invitational hosted by Troy University at 9:30 a.m.
