The Spring Hill College men's soccer team lost a 4-0 decision to the No. 9 rated Belhaven University Blazers 4-0 at Library Field on Saturday afternoon.
Belhaven opened the scoring in the 5th minute with a goal by Josť Robles and then made the score 2-0 22 minutes later when Stefan Fernandez scored.
After the intermission, Belhaven scored a third goal via a rebounded save of a shot-on-goal that came off SHC senior goalkeeper Dan Criscione and Fernandez cleaned up in the 63rd minute.
Belhaven's fourth and final goal came off a successful penalty kick in the 69th minute by Guilherme Brandao.
The shutout was the sixth of the season suffered by the Badgers.
Criscione made five saves against 16 Belhaven shots in his first start of the year and Belhaven's Gautier Troch made two saves versus 13 Badger shots.
Belhaven took nine corner kicks and allowed SHC just three attempts from the corners.
The Badgers (3-9-1, 1-1 SSAC) will travel to Montgomery, Ala., on Tuesday to face Faulkner University (5-4-4, 0-1 SSAC) at 5 p.m.
