Spring Hill College volleyball swept a 3-0 conference decision over the Lady Blazers of Belhaven University by the score of 25-9, 25-19, 25-12 on Saturday afternoon at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
Junior right side hitter Yiting Cao of Shanghai, China, was once again the pacesetter on offensive for the Badgers scoring nine kills and serving four aces. Junior Abbey Roam of Lebanon, Mo., also recorded nine kills in the SHC cause.
Freshman setter Taryn Nash of Independence, Mo., gave out 34 assists and fellow freshman libero Meredith Donald of Mobile's McGill-Toolen had eight digs.
Overall, Spring Hill racked up 41 kills, 10 service aces, 34 digs, and made 7 total team blocks on the front line.
For the Blazers, Christina Atwood had eight kills while Erin Bradley dished out 23 assists.  As a team, Belhaven had 25 kills, 23 digs and just one block.
Belhaven fell to 9-12 overall and 0-6 in SSAC play.
This was the Badgers 17th consecutive win on the season and their 10th consecutive shutout.
Spring Hill (22-2, 4-1 SSAC) will host Loyola University (21-11, 4-1 SSAC) at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in a showdown of the two  teams currently tied for second place in the SSAC West Division.
