The Spring Hill College women's basketball team lost a non-conference home game to the University of West Florida by the score of 84-49 on Friday evening.
Sophomore forward Jackie Higgenbotham of Birmingham, Ala., scored 16 points to pace the Badgers and freshman guard Tempey Hamilton from Mobile's Murphy High School had nine rebounds.
Kirstin McIntyre scored 16 points to led four Argonauts in double-digits.
Overall, the Badgers shot 20% (13-65) from the field including 35.3% (6-17) from beyond the arc, but suffered 24 turnovers and were outrebounded 49-33.
The Argonauts (1-0) went 36 of 60 from the field (60%) and were 8 of 13 (61.5%) from 3-point land as a team.
Spring Hill (2-2) will travel to Hammond, La., on Monday night to face Southeastern Louisiana University in an exhibition contest at 7 p.m.
