Spring Hill College senior center Nick Brown scored his 4th point of the game and the 1,001st point of his career off a layup with just two minutes left in the first half at conference rival Faulkner University in Montgomery, Ala., on Saturday afternoon.
Brown, who entered the game with 997 points in his 4-year career, scored eight points against the Eagles to become the 33rd member of the SHC men's basketball team's 1,000 Point Club with 1,005 total points scored.
A native of Rota, Spain who played his prep career at Choctaw High School in Florida, Brown has started all 104 games played by Spring Hill since he joined Head Coach Robert Thompson's Badgers in 2007.
