The Spring Hill College women's basketball team will join the fight against breast cancer by participating in the annual Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) "Pink Zone" campaign during their home games versus Clearwater Christian College and Faulkner University on Saturday, February 12 and Thursday, February 17, 2011.

The SHC women ask that fans support the cause by wearing all pink clothing to both games for a "Pink Out." The Badgers will also wear special all pink uniforms during the game that have been provided through the generosity of an anonymous donor.

In the days leading up to the games, the SHC women will be selling pink T-shirts and ribbons on campus to raise funds as well as accepting donations at the games.

"Our ladies have really gotten behind this cause," says SHC Head Coach Ray Fron. "They are very excited about the effort and have been working hard to make the campaign a success on campus."

All monies raised by the team will be donated to the WBCA's Charity of Choice, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.  The Yow Fund a 501 c(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.

Both games will be held at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center with the Saturday tipoff at 1 p.m. and the Thursday start at 5:30 p.m.
