NICEVILLE, Fla. - The Northwest Florida State College softball team pounded its way past Spring Hill College, taking both games of Tuesday's exhibition doubleheader, 10-2 and 13-7.
 
Game 1 was won by Emily Rousseau, who tossed 4 1/2 innings of six-hit ball while striking out seven. Brittany Dunson went 2-for-3 with two runs scored while Shelby Knox was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored as the Raiders jumped out to an early lead thanks to a four-run first and three-run second.
 
NWF State's (7-1) offense continued to roll in the second game, as Whitney Fletcher went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI and Gwen Jones enjoyed a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate with two runs scored. Former Niceville standout Missy Milligan went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs.
 
Spring Hill next plays No. 7 ranked Lee University on Friday in the SSAC Crossover Tournament hosted by Faulkner University in Montgomery beginning at 2:30 p.m.
