SELMA, Ala. - The Spring Hill College baseball team was swept in a nonconference doubleheader at the Selma University Bulldogs (14-13) on Tuesday afternoon by the scores of 5-2 and 6-2.
In the first game, Alex Summers (0-2) took the loss in five innings and allowed three runs while David Dupuy finished the final two innings and gave up two runs.
Brian Traina ripped out a double and a solo homerun for Spring Hill in the opener.
In the second game, Brooks Bobinger was saddled with the loss to fall to 1-3 on the season and allowed three runs in four innings as James Maughn closed things out for the Badgers with two runs allowed in three innings.
Second baseman Brian Sims stretched his current hitting streak to 14 games with hits in both games for the Badgers.
The Badgers (13-30, 2-10 SSAC West) will travel to Hattiesburg, Miss., this weekend to play William Carey University (18-21, 3-9 SSAC West) in a 3-game conference series beginning on Friday evening at 6 p.m. in a single game and followed on Saturday with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
