She is another outstanding student whose versatility will help our team immediately. She will have an opportunity to learn from our All-Conference setter Taryn Nash and run the second team in practice while challenging for playing time."
Samantha "Sami" Hantak (left), a 6-foot-2 middle hitter from Rosati Kain in St. Louis was 1st team All District as a senior while serving as varsity team captain and winning All Academic accolades.
"Sami will compete immediately for a starting position in the middle," Martin says. "She will provide a big presence in our middle and might see some time on the right side. Sami has huge potential that needs developing to help immediately as a freshman.  She is a quality student that is eager to learn on the volleyball court and in the classroom."

Martin is confident that this class will be difference-maker in the future of SHC volleyball. "This group is another huge step in building a tradition of excellence on the volleyball court on The Hill," she says.
