The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has named Spring Hill College's Chris Link as a 2010-11 Daktronics-NAIA Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete.
Link, a senior from Louisville, Ky., who won the award for the second consecutive season, majors in Finance/Economics with a minor in Writing.
Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify. The NAIA awarded the honor to a total of 96 men's tennis players this season.
Since the award's inception in 1979, Spring Hill College has now had 120 student-athletes win NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition.
