Spring Hill College Head Softball Coach Alison Sellers-Cook announced on Wednesday that pitcher Katie Ingles of Ursuline Academy in New Orleans, La., has committed to play softball at Spring Hill College.
 
During Ingles' senior season, she was selected a Louisiana District 9-AAAA First Team Pitcher and MVP while also being a member of the Times-Picayune All-Metro Team. She won the 2011 Ursuline Pat Taylor Senior Athlete Award and was a Wendy's Heisman High School Award winner along with being a recipient of the US Army Reserve National Scholar-Athlete Award.
 
Ingles was the Ursuline Softball MVP three consecutive seasons and established the program's records for Most Career Wins, Most Wins in a Season, Most Career Strikeouts, Most Strikeouts in a Season, Most Innings Pitched in a Career, and Most Innings Pitched in a Season.
 
In both her sophomore and junior seasons, she was First Team All-District and District MVP.
