Spring Hill College alumnus and National Basketball Association (NBA) referee Sean Wright will conduct a basketball officiating camp this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

“The camp was a tremendous success for the local officials, coaches and players last year,” said Thompson. “Sean and I decided to have the camp again this weekend and expect to host over 30 local teams while local basketball officials learn the tricks of the trade from the best in the business.”

The Wright-Path Officiating Camp will begin on Friday, June 24, and run through Sunday, June 26, with a $100 registration fee for participants. Local officials who wish to participate should call (678) 463-1225 or email wrightpath6165@gmail.com.

While the camps will take place at several local high schools, participating officials should meet at the SHC Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center at 8 a.m. on Friday for assignments. Please bring black shorts, a black & white striped shirt and a whistle.

Wright will lead the instruction along with assistance by several other NBA referees traveling to Mobile from Atlanta, Ga.

A Mobile native and a 1993 graduate of the Spring Hill College School of Business, Wright has been an NBA referee for six seasons and currently lives in Dacula, Ga.
