JACKSON, Miss. –The Spring Hill College volleyball team completed a 4-match sweep of the Millsaps College Invitational on Saturday by opening the day with a 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 30-28) victory over the tournament host Majors followed by a 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-16) topping of Martin Methodist College.

Against the home-standing Majors (2-2), senior right side hitter Yiting Cao of Shanghai, China racked up 25 kills and 36 digs as freshman middle hitter Megan Haber of Foley, Ala., tallied another 13 kills for the Badgers. Sophomore setter Taryn Nash from Independence, Mo., handed out an impressive 61 assists in the win.

The 25-22 downturn in the second stanza was the first set lost by the Badgers this season.

In the tournament finale, the Badgers swept past the Red Hawks (2-2) of Martin Methodist as sophomore middle hitter Sha Sha Buchanan from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School led the way with 11 kills and 3 blocks. Freshman setter Maddie LaForge of New Orleans passed out 19 assists and sophomore libero Meredith Donald, also from McGill-Toolen, scooped up 17 digs.

The Badgers (6-0) will return home on Tuesday to host non-conference rival Xavier University (La.) (1-1) at 7 p.m. in a non-conference match.
