Sophomore Taryn Nash has become a top setter in the NAIA

NORCROSS, Ga. – Spring Hill College volleyball player Taryn Nash was named the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Player of the Week for her outstanding performance on the court during the week of September 19-25, 2011.

Nash, a sophomore setter from Independence, Mo., dished out 96 assists in nine sets this week for a 10.67 assists per set average. As the Badgers have raced out to a school-record tying 18-0 record in 2011, Nash has distributed 605 assists in 56 sets to rank as the No. 10 setter in the nation with 10.80 assists per set.

The Badgers will attempt to set a new SHC consecutive wins record at Faulkner University in a conference match at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Montgomery, Ala.
