GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The 22nd ranked Spring Hill College volleyball team took home two more victories on Saturday as their current school-record winning streak stretched to 22 matches with identical 3-0 shutouts of Brenau University and Emmanuel College at the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Divisional Crossover Tournament.
 

Versus Brenau (8-9, 1-6 SSAC), senior right side hitter Yiting Cao of Shanghai, China, blasted out 16 kills to go along with 14 digs and 12 receptions. Sophomore setter Taryn Nash of Independence, Mo., passed around 37 assists and scooped up 11 digs while senior outside hitter Abbey Roam of Lebanon, Mo., turned in 14 digs, 17 receptions and two service aces.

SHC outscored BU 53-32 and built a .306 attack percentage while holding Brenau to a .068 percentage.

The Golden Tigers were paced by Melissa Thornton's 11 kills, 10 digs and 12 receptions.

Against Emmanuel (13-10, 0-9 SSAC), Cao tallied 14 kills, 12 digs and 11 receptions. Nash marked up another 31 assists and sophomore libero Meredith Donald of Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School enjoyed a nice defensive game with 10 digs and 10 receptions.

Senior outside hitter Cassandra Marchand-Stewart of Grand Bay, Ala., served up three of the eight Badger aces in the match.

Becca Graham had 27 assists for Emmanuel and Riley Forester notched 14 kills and 19 receptions.

Spring Hill held a 58-33 advantage in points scored and pounded out a .333 attack percentage against the Lions who finished with a .136 team attack percentage

The Badgers (22-0, 10-0 SSAC West) will travel to Montgomery on Thursday night to take on Huntingdon College (3-13) in a non-conference road match beginning at 7 p.m.
