Sr. Kate Imwalle owns 8 of the Top 10 SHC Women's 5k times in history

NORCROSS, Ga. – Spring Hill College cross country runner Kate Imwalle was named the OnePath Systems Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Female Runner of the Week for September 26-October 2, 2011, giving SHC a sweep of the male and female awards in the sport for the second time in 2011 as fellow senior Will Kirkikis of Kenner, La., also won the men's category.
 

Imwalle, a senior from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School, set a new SHC school record in the women's 5-kilometer distance by marking 18:42.20 at the Gulf Coast Stampede hosted by the University of West Florida on Saturday in Pensacola, Fla. Imwalle finished 8th of 122 runners and was the top finisher among NAIA participants.

The Badgers will next travel to Clinton, Miss., on Friday to run in the Watson Ford Invitational hosted by Mississippi College at 4:30 p.m. at the Choctaw Trails course.
