MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The 21st ranked Spring Hill College volleyball team took a 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-3) non-conference road decision over the Huntingdon College Hawks on Thursday night.
Senior right side hitter Yiting Cao of Shanghai, China, played just two sets, but still racked up nine kills and three digs with a solo block and a service ace.
Other Badger leaders included sophomore setter Taryn Nash of Independence, Mo., who handed out 27 assists and sophomore libero Meredith Donald of Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School who pulled in nine digs and 13 receptions.
Huntingdon (7-16) was paced by Diane Humphries with four kills and Alyssa Eason with 12 assists and five digs.
SHC outscored the Hawks 55-20 and accumulated a .451 attack percentage while holding Huntingdon to a .000 attack percentage.
The Badgers (23-0) will remain in Montgomery for the weekend to begin play in the Faulkner University Invitational beginning on Friday at 1:30 p.m. versus Webber International University (8-3) followed by a match with St. Thomas University (Fla.) (7-6) at 3:30 p.m.
